Tupperware Dealership – Not for Everyone

Expert AuthorEveryone can be a good Tupperware dealer, right? All you have to do is buy the start-up kit and schedule a party. Soon, you’re on your way to riches. People call every day to order. Friends beg to schedule parties. You set up a Tupperware dealer Internet site that is immediately popular. You win Tupperware dealer awards. You win Tupperware dealer trips. Your Tupperware dealership bank account grows by leaps and bounds.

We know that is not true of everyone. Just as in any business, some are suited to the job and some are not. A well qualified Tupperware dealer may fit that scenario. An unqualified Tupperware dealer will not.

Unqualified Tupperware Dealer

A Tupperware dealer wrote to me a while back, complaining that Tupperware is difficult to sell. You see, she was not qualified to be a Tupperware dealer. How was she not qualified?

* Her attitude was negative.
* She expected business to come to her.
* She failed to “beat the bushes” to create business.
* She ordered Tupperware, anticipating instead of waiting for orders.

Although I never met this Tupperware dealer in person, her letter conveyed a feeling of despair rather than hope. It pictured a person living in a house full of Tupperware, but with the curtains and mini-blinds closed. She did not seem open and outgoing. I cannot judge for sure, having never met her.

Individuals who are not self-starters are not qualified to be good Tupperware dealers. Those who lack an outgoing personality, and fail to develop it, will not be good Tupperware dealers. Persons who are eager to get rich quickly are doomed to fail as Tupperware dealers.

Qualified Tupperware Dealer

A qualified Tupperware dealer is a person with a sunny outlook on life. A large part of the personality will probably tend toward sanguine – outgoing. He or she will have an inclination to put a bright spin on life. There will be a great expectation that success will come, and every acquaintance will be viewed as a probable customer.

Along with this, qualified Tupperware dealers have a second personality facet that drives them to work hard. They bring to their Tupperware dealerships determination to succeed, whether sooner or later. They are in it for the long run. They use good business practices. They put earned money back into the Tupperware dealership to make it succeed. They refuse to give up. They are “driven” people.

You As a Tupperware Dealer

If you can see yourself in the second description above, you may have what it takes to be a successful Tupperware dealer. Many people do succeed in the business, but only those who are determined – those who are outgoing and upbeat.
