Tupperware canisters are unbeatable when it comes to food storage. With seals that are virtually airtight and liquid-tight, unbreakable Tupperware canisters make it easy to keep food safe and protect your health. They organize counter and cabinet space, storing everything from sugar to flour.
Tupperware canisters, silver/black combination, were a big hit a few years back. The silver, satin canisters topped with black seals fit in well with modern decor where major appliances sported stainless steel silver and black.
Styles change, and Tupperware canisters in silver and black are no longer available new. They can be purchased both new and used on eBay and other auction sites, but the company itself has stopped production.
Three New Tupperware Canister Sets
The modern Tupperware canister is available in three new styles.
1. “One Touch Reminder Canister Set”: This stylish Tupperware canister, newest of the line, is not just another pretty counter set. The front of each canister features a small viewing window at the bottom of the container. The see-through window reminds you when sugar, coffee, flour, etc. are running low. A new “One-Touch” seal goes on with the lightest touch, comes off the same way, but seals out both air and liquid.
This Tupperware canister set features round, white canisters in four sizes. The seals, virtually airtight and liquid-tight, are available in your choice of Bold ‘N Blue or Passion Red.
As of February 2007, this Tupperware canister set retailed at the company’s website for about $40.
2. “Modular Mates Oval Set”: This Tupperware canister set is recognized by the company as storage for inside your cupboard. As such, it is technically not a canister set, but is useful as such. The rounded “boxes” offer stackable, narrow organizational solutions. They make a perfect Tupperware canister set for dry foods you can pour such as pasta, cereal, beans, rice, and sugar. The five-piece set includes one tall canister; 2 equal-height canisters that, when stacked, equal the height of the tall one; 2 unequal-height canisters that match the height of the tallest when stacked.
This Tupperware canister set comes in sheer ice with virtually airtight and liquid-tight seals available in Bold ‘N Blue and Passion Red. The current price, February 2007, is about $44.
3. “Modular Mates Super Oval Pantry Set”: This set is much like the one above, except that each Tupperware canister is 55% larger. Priced at about $66 at the time this article was written, the set provides storage of bulk items in deep cupboards.
Although the Tupperware canister is no longer available in silver and black, you still get great storage – and the same lifetime guarantee against breaking, chipping, cracking, peeling, and warping.
