What I Wouldn’t Give for A Tupperware Pancake Measure

Expert AuthorIt would be nice to have a Tupperware pancake measure, but as far as we know, Tupperware does not make a product specifically for this purpose. There are Tupperware measuring products, though, that are helpful when making pancakes.

Tupperware Midgets

A Tupperware midget makes a perfect Tupperware pancake measure! Each midget holds 1/4 cup of pancake batter. Tupperware measuring marks on each include 2 ounces, which is 1/4 cup. Simply use your midget to dip the right amount of batter every time.

“Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher”

This Tupperware measuring product lets you measure, mix, pour, and store your pancake batter – all from the same pitcher. With a 2-quart capacity, it has a removable splatter guard to keep your countertop clean while mixing the pancakes, and an anti-skid ring on the bottom to hold the pitcher still while you are mixing. When the pancakes are mixed, simply open the pour spout by positioning the cover with the tab over the handle. Measurement lines provide a pancake measure.

Once you have your Tupperware measuring products, you might like to try this Tupperware recipe for buckwheat pancakes.

Ingredients

* 2 cups buckwheat flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 3/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking powder

* 1/4 cup melted shortening
* 2-1/2 cups milk

Instructions

* Place all dry ingredients into a Tupperware measuring bowl or “Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher”. Mix well to distribute baking soda, baking powder, and salt throughout the flour.

* Add the melted shortening and milk to the dry ingredients. Stir, or mix on low until smooth.

* For each pancake measure 1/4 cup of batter with a Tupperware measuring tool such as the Midget.

* Pour batter on a hot griddle that has been lightly greased or sprayed with a cooing spray.

* Bake pancakes until the tops are covered with bubbles and the sides are brown. Flip, and brown the other side.

* HINT: Before you measure out the next pancakes, stir your batter to reduce air bubbles.
